Southwest Dental Assisting Academy was founded on the principle of today's dental advancements. Our program consists of 8 weeks of classroom lecture & laboratory instruction, plus 1 Clinical Week. Training consists of numerous hands-on procedures such as taking dental impressions, taking dental x-rays, maneuvering of an intra-oral camera, and so much more using our phantom head. Class size is limited, which allows for plenty one-on-one with your Dental Instructor. We ensure that you will have everything you will need to begin your exciting new dental profession!
Meet Your Instructor:
Malanie Cothern, Owner and Instructor, has over 18 years of experience as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant. Not only has she worked in several local dental offices, she’s worked with dentists in Lafayette, New Orleans and New York City. And, when schedule allows, she can be found temping at local dental offices.
