March 1-7, 2020 was designated as Dental Assistants Recognition Week (also know as DARW). The first full week in March every year since 1977 is set aside to recognize Dental Assistants across the country. Dental assistants are a key part of the dental practice year round, but they have a special week dedicated to them. There are more than 300,000 Dental Assistants in the United States.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statics says there will be more than 58,000 new job openings for dental assistants in the next 4 years.
